Safeguarding

Our DSL is Lorraine Lewis

We take our duty under the law to help safeguard all children and to act on and report any concerns very seriously.

All of our staff are DBS checked and we have procedures to ensure we are aware of any problems that may emerge and to manage complaints or allegations against a member of staff.

We will work with you to make you feel comfortable and confident to ask for advice or support, including referral to appropriate agencies when necessary.

We take online safety seriously and would like to share with you this NSPCC link which talks about parental controls, online games and video apps and can help you understand the risks and keep your child/children safe online. https://www.nspcc.org.uk/keeping-children-safe/online-safety/

In addition, we would like to share NSPCC's 'Let's talk pants' campaign which gives parents and carers lots of helpful advice and guidance when talking to young children. It also has the link to The Pantasaurus song which you may like to share with your child. If you have any questions, please do come and have a chat with us.

Operation Encompass is an innovative project in which schools and nurseries in Gloucestershire are participating, and is run in partnership with Gloucestershire County Council, Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Partnership and Gloucestershire Police to support children who are experiencing domestic abuse.

Many other Local Authorities both nationally and locally have successfully implemented Operation Encompass.
